Your last coach systematically engineered the physical and/or mental destruction of three players, through inaction and negligence lost you two other players, hid not only her past but the very nature of your adversary from you straight until after it ceased to be relevant, drove the team to betray every value it had ever held dear for the sake of winning, knowingly allowed you to fraternize with those who meant you harm without telling you what was happening, and then when you’d fulfilled her purpose abandoned you to go hang out with her secret adoptive siblings feeling somehow vindicated because you guys had won despite the fact that her track record of leading the team to victory was never her problem anymore than it was Kageyama’s. Plus the villain had engineered a situation where he won regardless of the outcome of the match and the only reason anything worked out was because his henchman stabbed him in the back which also would’ve happened regardless of who won.

Whatever this mystery man’s deal is I have to imagine he’ll be an improvement.
